I can definitely help you find and open your company file back up.
The location of your back up depends on where the file is originally stored. This is given that there isn't any changes made to the back up path. You can open the Product Information page to trace the .QBW (working file) file path by pressing F2 on your keyboard. See this illustration below:
You can also check your backup settings to find the folder location of the backup file.
Here's how:
If you're still unable to find it, do a wildcard search on the computer. Type *.qbb (Back Up Files) in the search bar of the Start Menu. Make sure to include the asterisk (*) before the file type.
The result should show you where the last back up was and you can use it to restore the file to the new version. Refer to this article for more information about restoring a QBB file: Restore a backup of your company file.
