I am unable to open a QBB file with the trial version of 2022. When you launch the trial version, you get a start screen with a female voice asking repeatedly to choose from these 3 questions:
1) I want to see a sample Company File
2) I'm ready to create my own Company File
3) I want to open an existing Company File.
If you choose 3), only QBW and QBA extensions are permitted. If you try to enter the full QBB file name anyway, you get an error message (see attached). If you open Help, you only find how to open a backup file from a licensed copy of Quickbooks. For instance, the help files start with selecting Open and Restore, which you can't do because you can't get to that menu yet. The QBB does exist in the directory I indicated on the Open a Company pop-up window.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
