I keep getting an error message when trying to upload my transaction CSV from Square.

It keeps saying the error is on QB end but doesn't give me details.

I keep getting an error message when trying to upload my transaction CSV from Square.

Greetings! You've come to the right place for assistance. I've got the information you need when uploading a CSV file into your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

I want to take of your concern directly on our page. To do so, may I know what specific type of transactions you're trying to import, is it bank transactions or sales transactions? Any additional information will get us closer to the resolution and check if there's an open investigation about this. A screenshot would be a great help. Any extra information is appreciated.

In the meantime, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers.

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Press CTRL + Shift + P

Once done, clear the cache on your regular browser. Also, please note about the system-supported browser for the best and most secure experience.

In case you need steps on how to categorize the imported entries to organize them so you know what areas of your self-employed business the biggest impact has, you can read this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Feel free to inform us in the Community if you have additional questions about importing transactions or other related concerns in QuickBooks Self-Employed. We're here to lend a hand.

You can use csv2qbo @ $60 one time license as a workaround.
