If I run QuickBooks on another computer using our company file backup, will that affect data on our production computer?

We are testing different versions of QuickBooks Enterprise on a separate standalone computer.  Tests include Updates and Upgrades.  Our objective is to fix problem with PPP Reports. Updates connects and download from the payroll using the Internet.  Will this not affect our live QuickBooks data on another computer?  Both are standalone.  Thanks.

Not really, as long as that back up you use is NOT used to restore the company file on the live machine you are fine.
