Join nowI have the 2020 version of desktop for Mac. I am no longer interested in using Mac and would like to move Quickbooks to Windows. Must I buy a new license for my windows PC?
It's nice to see you here, @Colt45.
I want to help you with your conversion question from Mac to Windows.
There are separate QuickBooks versions for Mac and Windows PC. If you decide to use Windows, you need to buy the correct version for it, namely Pro, Premier and Enterprise.
You can choose one license if you only want to install it on one PC or multiple licenses for different workstations. To get to know more about the features you can enjoy with this program, compared to other desktop programs, see this link: Choose your QuickBooks Desktop product.
We also have a trial version you can try if you decide to get the Enterprise version. This way you'll gain the experience of how it works: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
If you have the correct version, see this link to convert your company file: Convert a QuickBooks for Mac file to QuickBooks for Windows.
Please visit us anytime if you have other questions with QuickBooks. I'll be right here to help you out.
You can still purchase the one time license for QBD (Windows) 2020 or 2021 from some partners if required.
