My motherboard died, and I had to purchase a new Win10 machine.
Original Win7 pro Hard Drive with data is OK and is installed as a 2nd HD D:.
How do I transfer QB to the new prime hard disk?
OR run the program off of the D; drive?
It was originally purchased as a download, so I have no written data for keys ect.
I don not wish to purchase or need to upgrade.
Unfortunately, either i never registered, or used a long forgotten email.
It can't find me.
You don't have any option but purchasing a new QBD 2021 with a one time license. Another option, purchase a one time license of QBD 2020 with a lower price.
I was able to find my login & key info.
Now what would I have to do?
Download the installer file for QBD 2016
https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products
Run the installation wizard and use the license information you have. You should install QBD 2016 in compatibility mode Win 7 on your Win 10 to minimize any error. When it asks for the validation code to activate your license, chat Support to get the code. Make sure you are able to find your license information in CAMPS. Otherwise, Support may decline to give the validation code.
