Join nowHello, I'm new to QB. I'm trying to convert from PT 2014 to QBDT Pro 2020 trial, then I want to upload my data to QB Essentials plan. However I can not get past the conversion tool crashing at 56%. I have both programs on the same computer, I have the space, Windows 10 and have meet the rest of the requirements, followed the steps on the setup guide - still nada. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the QBDT Pro 2020 and the conversion tool, I have also run repairs still nothing. Support isn't open till tomm. and I wanted the weekend to "play" with the software before Monday morning. I'm open to any ideas or sug. to get this to work. Thanks

Your PT file may be damaged or it is too old for QB 2020 version to convert it directly. I would recommend these options:
1. Open your QBO account with any available discounted plan
https://quickbooks.grsm.io/us-promo
2. Call and ask Intuit Data Service to convert your PT file to QBW for free.Tell them you have subscribed to QBO account and ready to migrate. Another option, consider to purchase a 3rd party migration service to get the QBW file.
