QuickBooks Desktop

I know that they change the policy for this product (Desktop Pro2020), but I upgrade my laptop to a desktop since I was having issues with previous computer. When I try to download the QB software on my new PC it was not possible. Product number is mark as "wrong", but is NOT. So, I will not be able to use my old QB desktop version on my new PC?

I’ve got you covered with installing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to your new device, evolution.

 

There are multiple factors we need to consider in re-installing your QBDT application to another device. 

 

If you have a single-user license, you’ll need to use the Migrator Tool to move this and up to three company files to another computer. On the other hand, you can consider doing this manually if you prefer not to use the tool. Beforehand, make sure to create a backup of your company file to restore your data in case you run into problems.

 

To manually move or reinstall the application, please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Prepare your product and license information available.
  2. Uninstall the existing QuickBooks you had from your old device and reinstall the new one.
  3. On your new device, download the installation files or insert the CD.
  4. Install QuickBooks Desktop as you normally would.

 

For the Migrator Tool option, you can check out this article and refer to Move QuickBooks Desktop using the Migrator Tool section in this article: Move or reinstall QuickBooks Desktop to another computer.

 

Once you have done the steps above and still experience the same issue, you can follow the fixes I’ll outline below:

 

  • If you purchased QuickBooks Desktop through our website, look for your license number and product code in the email that confirmed your purchase. If you can't locate them, you can access them by logging into your Customer Account Management Portal.
  • If you bought QuickBooks from a retail store: Look for the sticker on the original CD envelope.

Login to your CAMPS and find your license code there. Did you use the same keycodes?
