QuickBooks File Manager

Not that it matters, but add 1 more for the stupid file manager change password garbage. I went through 4 support sessions yesterday and not 1 agent had any clue what the file manager even was. I will say, 2022 was the first year I was actually able to use the product, if only for a few months. Every version before wouldn't even get me that far and the password reset was almost immediate. Imagine being a corporation where they can put out the same shoddy product year after year and give the same useless troubleshooting tips.

Makes you wonder if Intuit will end up on a list of very special great American corporations, Woolworths, Compaq, Sears, Radio Shack, Kodak.....hmm what could possibly be the link between them? Perhaps, not listening to their customers and resting on their laurels....

Four hours with four agents that didn't have the faintest clue, I wish I could say that this is the only support issue Intuit dropped the ball on

QuickBooks File Manager

I really wish that support could be better!  I love that people think that QuickBoooks is an accountant in a box and Turbo Tax is a CPA in a box!!

QuickBooks File Manager

We switched to Quickbooks at the end of 2022 per recommendation of an external CPA we work closely with. With over 140+ properties we definitely wanted to upgrade to have the Password Vault capabilities so our accountants would not have to sign in and out of each entity each time an entry needed to be made. The Password Vault worked for approximately 2 months until the end of January 2023. It is now almost September and we still do not have a solution after calling tech support multiple times. Quickbooks tech support is atrocious!! It takes forever just to get in contact with the appropriate person who even understands the level of technical difficulty (approximately 1-1.5 hours on call) only to be told "we are aware of this issue but have no solution at this time." When asked when a solution is expected the answer: "we don't know". This is unacceptable and false advertising. We don't even call it Quickbooks in our office anymore...we call it Slowbooks. If anyone has found a solution to this problem will you please respond and let us know how to access the Password Vault. We are beyond frustrated with Quickbooks and if they don't have a solution soon we will be looking for new accounting software. We took the recommendation from our CPA, I highly suggest doing a reference check before purchasing this software.
