QuickBooks Online for Mac -Title Bar does not match Theme

On the Quickbooks Online App for Mac the titlebar is is black whether in light mode or dark mode.
It doesn't match the Mac OS theme where Dark Mode is a deep grey color.

The sidebar grey matches better but not the title bar.

QuickBooks Online for Mac -Title Bar does not match Theme

I appreciate the screenshot that you've attached regarding your title bar concern, @tekfranz.

I'd like to shed some light regarding how the theme feature in QuickBooks Online works.

The set up that you have right now is just accurate. The theme only applies to the dashboard of your account. This is the reason why the title bar is showing as black

Know that you can always change the theme of your account by clicking on the Gear icon at the top and hit on Themes. From there, you can turn on or off the theme:

I can see the benefit of having the theme be applied in all areas of your account to make it look presentable. Know that QuickBooks is committed to developing simple, intuitive software that includes new features based largely on the preferences we've gathered from our users.

That said, I'll route you over to the best avenue where you can see our news and updates about developments on our platform and stay up-to-date with the latest events, meetups, and releases. Please visit our QuickBooks Online Blog site.

If you ever have questions or need anything, I'm just a few clicks away. Wishing you all the best!

QuickBooks Online for Mac -Title Bar does not match Theme

Yes I tried Dark Mode on and off and it was nice but it did not make any difference on the color of the Title Bar. I think that is where the bug is. The Title bar does not switch colors when Dark Mode is off.

Hello again, @tekfranz.

I appreciate all your efforts in trying to apply the Dark Mode in your company. Let me help me point you in the right direction to get the Themes feature to properly work.

To make sure you have the best online experience, make sure your computer meets the system requirements in QBO. Let me share this article that outlines the complete information: QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support.

If the device is compatible with the setup, clear the cache in your QuickBooks app to refresh the connection.

  1. In your company, click the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select Reset App Data.

Next, go back to the title bar to check if the theme changes. If you continue to get the same result, uninstall the app to start on a clean slate.

Here’s how:

  1. Drag the QuickBooks Windows app from the Applications folder to the Trash.
  2. To completely remove the app, go to Finder then choose Empty Trash.

To re-install:

  1. In your browser, enter this link: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/.
  2. Scroll down to Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section to select Free Download.
  3. Click the Download Now button.
  4. Select the QuickBooks.dmg file in the downloads section.
  5. Drag QuickBooks to the Applications folder.
  6. Launch the QuickBooks App and the program will load to the sign-on page.

I'm adding some links that will guide you on how to perform common tasks and workflows in QBO.
