Last week I clicked on Update for my Quick Books Pro 2021 as I know it's important to use the newest version. Problem I'm having is I click on the QB button on my taskbar and it tries to open then simply shuts itself off.
I have shut down my desktop , opened it, then shut down again and restarted it, no help.

How can I now get it to open?

You should reinstall your QB program.

This isn't what I want you to experience when opening QuickBooks, mox2. Let me make it up to you by making sure this gets resolved.
You may have to uninstall and install your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) software to remove the update alerts and start fresh. You can start by following these steps:
Once done, we can run the QuickBooks Tool hub. This helps fix common issues that cause QuickBooks Desktop to stop working. To use the tool hub, we'll need first to close QuickBooks. Then let’s proceed with downloading the program to your computer.
Here’s how:

Thanks Leiza, for your comment, I was able to get it working after using Quickbooks Tool Hub. felt trying this first was safer , easier and quicker than removing and reinstalling
