Hi,

   We acquired a company and put their Quick books onto our server, but we found that the software was really slow on the VPN connection.

I installed Quick books onto the RDP server and I have the users working from there instead.  There are some goofy issues with this solution like when the user connects, it seems like their personal settings are changed from another profile.  It is almost like Quick books saves local settings in a default / all users profile instead of the signed in user.

This is aggravating the users as they have to type in their passwords for email every time they login and their printer defaults keep changing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Joe

How many users do you need to access the same file at the same time over the internet? You may consider using the trial version of 3rd party solutions to isolate the problem.

it is only a couple of users, and this isn't a long term solution for us.

I am just trying to see if there is a way to make life a little easier for them

What 3rd party products are available?

Hi @Archie85,

Thanks for getting back. As mentioned by our Allstar Fiat Lux - ASIA, you'll want to check for a third-party application.

On the other hand, you might want to check these articles below for additional reference.

@Archie85

One solution is to use the same RDP method for non-IT users. It costs $25/month/access. Send me a private message and we'll share the details later.
