I'm planning to give my copy to a friend for his business. I installed it once but never used it. Will my friend be able to use my copy of QuickBook with the same key? Is the product key linked to my account online? Any help is appreciated.
Yes, they can use the same key to install. However, QB 2009 wasn't designed to work with any version of Windows currently supported. So, it's hit or miss making the installer work and also making QuickBooks work on the newer OS your friend is likely using.
