Self employed app says not available in my country now that I got a new phone

I got a new phone, Google Pixel 8 pro, and now the app store says, "this item isn't available in your country." I'm in USA and was using it on my previous phone.

Check your Playstore country setting. Make sure it is US, not another country. This problem may occur when you bring your device from another country.

I've always been in USA, never changed from USA. Play store shows me as in USA.

The QBSE mobile app is no longer available starting March 24, 2024, as it will be discontinued soon. As a workaround, you can utilize a mobile browser to log in to your QBSE account.

Well that is horrible! I just paid for a year of QBSE and specifically use it for mileage tracking!!

 

What am I suppose to use now that you are removing that app! I followed the link and tried to use the QuickBooks Solopreneur but that is giving me an error too saying, "Couldn't sign in. This account doesn't include access to Quickbooks Online. Please select a different company or try signing in with a different account."

 

I need an app that can automatically track my mileage and collect my income like the QBSE app was doing. I do not need all the bells and whistles.

The error message you received is a result of using a different QuickBooks product credential to log in to QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can use this link to access your QBSE or QuickBooks Solopreneur account: quickbooks.intuit.com. Then, choose either account in the Sign in dropdown.

 

To continue tracking your mileage, you can use QuickBooks Solopreneur by signing in through the QuickBooks mobile app. Download here:

 

 

Or you can explore a third-party application you can integrate into QuickBooks.

Maybe I was not specific enough. I do not have any issues with the website as this initial issue was for the app on my phone.

 

I used the link you provided for the google play store to try and download the "QuickBooks Solopreneur" app but the link brings me to the "QuickBooks Online Accounting" app. Trying to log into that is where the attached screenshot error is coming up.

 

I have searched the play store for "QuickBooks Solopreneur" and "QuickBooks mobile app" but that app is not listed.

Based on your screenshot, this error occurs when you use your QBSE credentials on the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. However, the QBO app and QBSE app are two different platforms, and that's the reason they won't go through.

 

While you're unable to log in to your account using the mobile application, I encourage you to follow steps 1 and 2 to log in using your mobile browser to continue accessing your QBSE data. Alternatively, you can log in using a desktop/laptop via a supported web browser.

I'd like to provide additional information about the error and ensure that the application you've downloaded is for QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), Leif4.

 

The error you've encountered when you tried to log in indicates you are using the incorrect QuickBooks mobile apps. We offer two versions of the QuickBooks Accounting Mobile App — QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QBSE. You may have downloaded the QBO app instead of the QBSE app.

 

To ensure you've downloaded the QBSE app, you can install the app using the links below:  

 

 

Once the app is installed, sign in using the same username and password you use when accessing your QBSE account through a web browser.
