1099's nightmare

Is everyone who was forced to switch over to online payroll finding it impossible to complete 1099's?

Maybe it is just the Mac users?

I made it through the prompts but QB couldn't see what my contractors had paid.  None of them "met threshold".  There is no way to manually put in an amount.  Windows appears to want you to "track" your subs.  Mac allows a check mark to show they are 1099 qualified, but doesn't get the info over the net.

I gave up after total frustration and then found I could PAY intuit to file my 1099's.  I only had 4 so it was $17.  To anyone who doesn't want to wade through the non applicable help pages just pay the fee.  Your blood pressure will stay down and you can go to bed.  If QB put as much effort into making this work instead of telling us how the filing is included with "online payroll" it would save us a lot of time and grief.

Goodnight.

Intuit 1099 E-File Service.  You will have to fill the forms in yourself.
