With multiple users, can each user have 2-step identity independently?

2-step identity with multiple users

It's nice to see you here in the Community, userclbare.

Let me shed some light on the two-step verification security process in QuickBooks.

Regardless of their access, each user in your company has the option to set up two-step verification for their account. If they opt into this feature, they'll be asked to verify each time they sign in.

Here's how to turn on two-step verification:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Click Sign in & security.
  3. In the "2-step verification" section, press Turn on, then Set up.
  4. Confirm your phone number is correct. Then, choose how you want to verify your account. You can either select to receive a verification code through text message or an automated voice verification code through voice message.
  5. Hit Continue.
  6. Enter the code you received. Then, click Continue.
  7. Enter your account password.
  8. Tap Continue.

You can check out this helpful article for more information about how Intuit secures your information through different security tools: Verify your Intuit Account with multi-factor authentication or two-step verification.

For future reference, here's an article on managing users for your company: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online. It contains a guide on how to add, manage, or delete user profiles in QuickBooks.

Reach out to me again if you have additional queries about the two-step verification security process in QuickBooks. I'm just one post away.
