Buy nowHello, our company purchased QB 2022 Premier Plus desktop versions last year, and the last few days when we log in, it prompts us and says your "Quickbooks subscription is about to expire in 7 days, please renew"...we are down to 4 days now. The payroll subscription is active and not due to expire until next year. One user today tried to log in and was unable and it said his subscription to QB had expired. We are not sure what is causing this, we don't have a QB subscription. Has anyone else experienced this?
I've got some information and steps to help you get past this issue, @DawnS1224.
The QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) lineup with the 2022 release is a subscription model. If your subscription has expired, you'll still have view-only access to your data for one year. However, you'll not be able to edit your data with the expired license.
To continue editing your data, you can either renew your subscription or export your data. After one year, you'll need to renew your subscription to regain full access to your data.
Just in case you want to manage your QBDT subscription, services, and payment method, you can check out these articles:

Hi Jean, thanks for your reply. Its rather confusing actually. This version was installed on 5/27/22, so your saying a 1.5 years into the purchase we are having to renew a subscription we didn't even know we had? We have in the past renewed QB every 3 years because of the payroll subscription. Also, considering that the same QB was installed on 4-5 different computers on the same day but only one fully expires? The admin computer should be the one expiring you would think since it was the first install. None of it makes sense, all our systems should expire at same time. Also, he cant even view any data, its only saying once he tries to log in that the subscription has expired.
Thanks for getting back with the Community, DawnS1224.
Only your admin user will receive the renewal notification message. You're correct, QuickBooks subscriptions have to be renewed annually. If you choose not to renew a subscription, you'll have view-only access for one year after it ends.
You can use the links in jeanbiverly_'S post for information about renewing subscriptions and exporting data.
If you have any additional questions about your current subscription, or renewing it, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment and discuss your account with you.
They can be reached while you're using QuickBooks.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
