Admin password

I have 2019 QB and am treasurer for a church.  Want to change treasurer and he has a MAC not a PC. When he loads the flash drive it says he needs the admin password. I have never set one and no clue how to do it. I am only user and have looked at the YouTube on how to do it but it doesn't work. You are using QB Desktop 2019 Pro or Premier, correct? What year version of QB Desktop does he have? QB Desktop 2019 for Mac or else?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Let's work together to figure out what credentials are correct for the admin password field. 

 

To clarify, can you send us a screenshot of the exact page that the password field is popping up on? 

 

In the meantime, please try the computer password for the device that they are on and the password of the primary admin. Review this guide about users and restrictions in QBDT.

Thanks for replying so quickly. This is as good as I could get it.  It came as an ING file and could not send it.  Had to take a picture and scan it. Hope you can read it.

You need to install QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus/Premier Plus to upgrade your company file before converting it to be open on QB Desktop 2024 Mac Plus. Another option, you should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and they can help to resolve your problem.
