Amount numbers in invoice are with a "T"

For some reason when I issue an invoice I see the letter T next to the amount number.

Why is that?

Can I fix that to $?

Thank you !

Amount numbers in invoice are with a "T"

Hello, Younity.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let me share some insights about the letter "T" that's appearing on the invoice next to the amount.

In QuickBooks, if you are using sales tax, the program will usually mark the “taxable” items with a “T” right after the amount for the line. This indicate that the customer item is subjected for tax.

Also, you can't change the letter "T" to "$", as "T" stands for Taxable.

Let me share these articles with you for additional reference about sales tax:

Keep me posted if you have additional questions about customer sales tax. I'm glad to assist you further. Take care always.

While this makes sense, is there a way for us to remove it? It's not aesthetically pleasing to see on an invoice.

Welcome to the thread, @Jeans2.

For the time being, the option to remove the taxable “T” mark right after the amount for the line on invoices is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). With this, let's send feedback or product recommendations to help improve the features and your experience using the program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing your company's income and customers using QBO: Sales and customer help for QuickBooks Online. It includes topics about processing payments, managing customer information, and customizing forms, to name a few.

On top of that, I'd also recommend visiting this page to keep you updated with the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other feature concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, @Jeans2.
