Buy now & saveGood morning,
I got an Android Device with Scanner, how can we make the scanner to work with QB Enterprise?
Thank you
Tomas
Hi there, tblanco.
Thanks for posting your question here in the Community. I'm happy to provide some info about using the scanner with the Android device in your QuickBooks Desktop account.
Here's how to pair the device with your QuickBooks account:
1. In the QuickBooks Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. Choose Items & Inventory, then go to the Company Preferences tab.
3. Select Advanced Inventory Settings.
4. In the Site Operations tab, select Add. QuickBooks gives you a passcode.
5. On your mobile device, open the scanner/app, then enter the passcode.
6. Select Link, then Yes.
7. A success message appears indicating that the scanner is now linked to the QuickBooks company file.
8. Click Next.
I'm linking a couple of articles below that I believe you'll find useful:
With this info you'll be able to use your Android scanner in QuickBooks Enterprise. Please feel free to drop a comment below if you have any other questions.
Hi, we did those steps and the tablet is added to QB, but the scanner is not scanning the items.
Is there a setup for the scanner itself?
Thanks.
You need a 3rd party inventory management app to do so.
Thank you for your response. We switched to QB Enterprise because QB seller and the program features indicate that has inventory, cycle count and receiving PO's using a scanning device.
