Android Users tossed aside!

I want to thank the wonderful people at Intuit for using a framework that is not compatible with Android devices. And it's especially refreshing that the latest upgrade issues from over a week ago still haven't been addressed....

I understand that it's indeed important for QuickBooks Online (QBO) software providers to ensure the mobile app's compatibility across all devices, @miketrotta.

To provide more effective assistance, may we kindly inquire about the specific error you have encountered while using the mobile app following the upgrade? In the meantime, you might also consider exploring alternative methods of accessing QBO, such as through a web browser on your device.

Please feel free to keep us updated on the situation. We are committed to offering ongoing support. Take care.

There is no error. It's a design flaw. Which means somebody did not do their due diligence to ensure the mobile app works properly.  And the support team is absolutely clueless about what the mobile app even is.

When I create a new invoice I get a screen that is useless. I cant create my own alphanumeric invoice #.

Hello, @miketrotta.

Let me guide you on how to create your own alphanumeric invoice number.

I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online(QBO) account on your browser and turning on the custom transaction number feature. This will allow you to easily change your invoices and have them automatically updated in your QBO app. To correct your invoice numbering sequence, you may reset it through the Accounts and Settings page:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Sales.
  3. In Sales form content, select Edit.
  4. Turn Custom transaction numbers on.
  5. Select Save, then select Done.

Here is an alternative way that will help you set your numbering preferences:

  1. Go to Sales and select Invoices.
  2. Select any invoice, then select Edit invoice. Or, select Create invoice to create a new invoice.
  3. In the Invoice no. field, enter the custom number or letter sequence you want to use for your forms. The sequence you set here applies to all sales forms.
  4. Select Save or Save and close.

For more detailed information on setting your numbering preference using the Custom transaction numbers option, you can refer to this article: Add custom transaction numbers to sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, check this article out to learn more about recording customers' payments in QuickBooks: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you need further assistance managing your invoices in QuickBooks. I'll be here to provide you with the support that you need. Keep safe.

My settings are already correct.  But the Mobile App does not allow alphanumeric. I have 2 types of invoices. one is numerical and one is alphanumerical.  I included a screen shot in my previous reply.

1. The invoice number is not even editable on the 1st screen. not friendly.

2. After creating the invoice (2nd screen). Which is confusing and clunky at best. I am then allowed to edit the invoice number with a numerical keypad only.

3. A good development team would NEVER do an upgrade like this and force brand new non similar forms onto the end user. A real team leaves the existing forms in place and allows the user to view the changes and upgrade at their own pace.

4. The phone support team is totally unqualified to answer the phones. They don't even know what the Phone App is.

5. In November, They signed me up for QBO when I was already an existing Mobile APP user since 2019. And then refused to give me back 2 months credit after I figured out I was being double billed.

This company is on a downward spiral.

Can you tell me how to download all my existing data.?  Because I will begin developing my own system after the holidays.

I figured out what happened!

These idiots changed the old Invoice method to become a SALES RECEIPT!

The SALES RECEIPT is now the new way to add an "INVOICE" or track your sales.

On the phone app: SALES RECEIPT is the last shortcut icon in the list.  Again NOT FRIENDLY!
