API returning 429 error too many requests

Starting Saturday, August 10, our QBO API connection had been returning a 429 error, too many requests. Is anyone else seeing this? We have using this API configuration for years and starting Saturday this error has been consistent. Thanks you!

API returning 429 error too many requests

Thanks for posting here, rrichter. I'd be glad to assist you in finding the right platform to address your concern regarding error 429 in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) API connection.

While the QuickBooks Community often provides solutions for various issues, we have a separate forum where developers, engineers, and other program specialists can interact and provide the details needed to address the error you've encountered with QuickBooks API. There are certain matters that only our Intuit Developers can address.

I recommend posting your query on our Intuit Developer Community page. This site contains resources for software development, as well as the ability to ask fellow developers questions.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Intuit Developer Support page.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online under What do you need help with?
  3. Click Ask a Question
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one.
  5. Enter your concern.
  6. Click Ask

Additionally, you can always utilize the API Docs & Tools and Blog menu on the Intuit Developer's page. From there, you can check out the latest feature added to the application.

We'll be happy to entertain additional questions about resolving the error message you encountered in QBO. Just leave your reply below, and we'll get back as soon as possible. Stay safe.
