Areas, Activities and Access Levels for specific API endpoints (QB Desktop)

We are trying to figure out what areas and activities we need to set for a new role in order to access these API Endpoints as we don't want to provide all view access to all of our Areas and Activities:

1. AccountQuery
2. CustomerQuery
3. InvoiceQuery
4. JournalEntryQuery
5. BillQuery
6. GeneralSummaryReportQuery
7. GeneralDetailReportQuery

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, romebots. Please know that the QuickBooks Community site can only assist with QuickBooks-specific issues. Since your concerns are related to API Endpoints, let me route you to the appropriate team to ensure that your queries are properly addressed.

We have a separate forum where you can interact with fellow developers, product experts, and engineers about any API-related questions. Since your concern is connected to API documentation, I encourage posting your question to our Intuit Developer Community as they can provide more insights on what you need and the steps to be performed.

 Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop under What do you need help with?
  3. Tick Ask a Question
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one.
  5. Enter your concern.
  6. Click Ask

Lastly, you may refer to this article if you need steps on how you can review roles and permissions in QuickBooks to manage user access: Create and manage users and roles in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

If you have any other questions related to QuickBooks Desktop, please feel free to leave a comment below. I'll get back here as soon as I can to help you again. Thanks for dropping by, romebots. I wish you a good one!
