Buy nowHello,
I am very new to QuickBooks Online but I noticed a weird quirk. My linked Bank account automatically updates ~every day which is great. My credit card, which is a Chase card, has to be manually updated using the Update button. This isn't a huge deal but is there a way to make it so the credit card automatically update daily?
Thanks!
It's good to see you here in the Community, @homebodyeats.
Let me share some information on how banks download transactions to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Most of the banks download the latest available transactions every night around 10 PM PT to QuickBooks. Some may take a little longer as you experience with your Chase card. If you want to get the latest transactions the same as your connected bank accounts, you can manually upload your Chase card account.
I'm adding this article for more information: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Once your transactions are already downloaded, you can categorize them to put into the correct account. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Hey @Mark_R! Thanks for the quick reply! So what I understand from your response, and please correct me if I'm wrong, is that the credit card transactions only update automatically when there is a statement, so either I can click the "Update" button manually, upload a statement or wait for the statement to post naturally?
Thanks again!
Thank you for responding, homebodyeats. Let me provide you with more information regarding bank transactions that are downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
Once you've linked your bank or credit card account to QBO, the system is dependent on the transactions sent by your financial institution.
If there are new cleared transactions from your bank, they will automatically be downloaded into QuickBooks. You may have to wait for the statement to post naturally, manually upload them, or do the manual update as an option.
