Can I add a separate customer emails for estimates and invoices?

I was wondering if it is possible to add two separate emails to a customer? The email address I add to a customers information is automatically populated for both estimates and invoices. Our company often sends estimates to a different contact within their company for approval than invoices.

Can I add a separate customer emails for estimates and invoices?

Hi there, @brenttbrady.

Yes, you can add a separate email for your customer. I'd be glad to walk you through how to accomplish this goal.

You have the option to enter multiple emails in your customer's profile, invoices, or estimates. Any attached email will receive the invoice once sent. Make sure that the email addresses are separated with commas (,).

Please check out the sample snips attached below on how add them on your customers profile and on sales forms:

Can I add a separate customer emails for estimates and invoices?

Hi Betty,

Thank you very much for the response.

I see you can add multiple emails to the customer info, but it seems as whatever you enter there gets automatically entered when the customer is entered in an estimate. That is fine, but what I cant seem to do is once the estimate is converted into an invoice, automatically enter a different email under that customer. For example, a customers accounts payable email.

Thank you again!

Hello @brenttbrady,

As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to automate an email address change when converting an estimate to an invoice. In QuickBooks Online, all the information in an estimate will also convert to the invoice but you can edit the email address and manually enter the new one accordingly.

Seriously, 3 years later and this simple feature has still not yet been added? Are you really listening to customer feedback or are you just stroking your customers and pacifying us all while not listening?

It is frustrating when customers are repeatedly reminding me to send emails to their AP department and not to project managers.
