Hi, there Carnf. Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) Budget vs Actuals report doesn't support displaying MTD, YTD, and Annual Budget simultaneously in one report, as Desktop does.

In QBO, the Total column only reflects data for the specific date range you select and does not provide cumulative YTD view when in a single month.

Your options would be :

  • Export to Excel - run separate reports (monthly, YTD, annually) and combine them manually in Excel.
  1. Go to the Reports menu on the left panel.
  2. Search for the Budget vs Actuals report . Run it accordingly.
  3. Select the Export dropdown, then select Export to Excel.
  4. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.

  • QBO Advanced with Spreadsheet Sync: If you are using the Advanced version, use Spreadsheet Sync to pull budget and actual data and create a custom layout.
  • Third-party apps: Use reporting apps for more flexible budget reporting. See the Screenshot below on how to locate for one.
