Can I delete old inactive companies from the Company drop down list in QB Online so only my current companies are listed?

The inactive account no longer are current QB accounts.

Can I delete old inactive companies from the Company drop down list in QB Online so only my current companies are listed?

Yes, you can request the deletion of your old inactive companies in QuickBooks Online. It will only take up to 72 hours to get approved.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online Account.
  2. Click on Cancelled Companies to find the inactive company you wish to delete and select it.
  3. Tap the three-dot line, then select Delete. 
     
  4. A new tab will appear entitled Data & Privacy3.png
  5. Choose the Delete tab and follow the on-screen instructions.no4 delete.png
  6. Once completed, you will redirected to this page.last part in deleting file.png
  7. To confirm, return to the Data & Privacy page and click Delete. A confirmation message will appear.
     

 

After this, you will need to wait up to 72 hours to confirm that your inactive company has been deleted. It will notify you through your email address.
