Hi there, @farmernotary.

Thank you for posting in the Community. Allow me to help share some methods to get the report that you need.

You can customize the Transaction List by Date report to show all the deposits made last year. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu on the left pane.
  2. Enter Transactions List by Date in the Find report by name field.
  3. Select a Report period.
  4. At the top right, click Customize.
  5. Click the Filter drop-down.
  6. Mark the Transaction Type box.
  7. From the Transaction Type drop-down, you can select multiple types like Deposits, Sales Receipt, Payment and etc.
  8. Place a check mark on the Payment Method box and select the mode of payment you want to include in your report from the drop-down.
  9. Click Run report.

Another way to get the total deposits from 2018 is by exporting the Deposit Detail report to excel and customize it to show the information you need.

If you need to reach out for more help, feel free to contact our Customer Care support. They can use the screen sharing tool to get this resolved quickly.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.

These resources should help to get you back.

My version of QB does not have a Transaction List by Date. Seems my version doesn't have many of the features that I need.

Hello there, Frozenfun.

To make sure that we're on the same page, can you share what version you're using right now? This way, I can provide the right information and help more with your concerns.

If you are using QuickBooks Desktop, you can follow these steps to find the Transaction List by Date report:

  1. From the main menu, click Reports.
  2. Under Accountant and Taxes, select Transaction List by Date.

You can check out this article. In here, you'll get you through customizing the report and make it more personalize as you can.

However, if you're using the QuickBooks Self-employed, the Transaction List by Date report is unavailable. We only have limited reports that you can run on it.

Please get back here if you're referring to something else. I'll be around to assist you more! Take care!
