Hi,
I have updated the phone number, when I go to add a new bank account the verification goes to the old phone number. How can I add a bank account for deposits?
Thank you
Sky
Good day to you, Sky. Thanks for pointing out your concern about updating your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to provide some details to help you complete the process flawlessly and quickly.
The two-step verification process enhances security by demanding that users provide multiple forms of authentication, thus ensuring that only authorized individuals can access a bank or financial institution's valuable assets and information. Therefore, I suggest contacting your bank's support first to confirm whether your mobile number is now updated in their system.
Once verified, please follow these steps if you're referring to updating your bank account info in QBO:
Otherwise, you can proceed to follow these steps to update a standard deposit account if it is for QuickBooks Payments:
Refer to this article for more details about the process: Change the deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments.
Please keep me posted on how these steps turn out, and let me know by commenting below if you have any other concerns besides updating your bank account in QBO. Have a great day ahead and see you again!
Hi there, thank you!
I have updated my quickbooks account with the new number, as well as my bank account. The old number has been deleted for all accounts however it still asks for a verification code that is sent to the old number when I try to add a new bank to quickbooks.
Please let me know how to move forward.
Thank you!
Thank you for coming back to this thread, sky.
I am sharing some insights about the 2-step verification code sent to your old number.
Since you mentioned that you already updated your number in your Intuit Account and deleted the old one, I recommend contacting your bank or your financial institution to update your number with them as well. This will enable you to use the updated number to connect your bank to QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, I'm adding this helpful article for more insights into managing your business information: Change your business name, contact info, or EIN in QuickBooks Online.

Hi there,
Thank you for the information. The account is attached for the transactions, that is not a problem. I am trying to connect it for the payouts, which it is not allowing me. It is still sending a verification code to the old number, however the old number is no longer attached to my bank account either.
So I am not sure how to move forward.
Thank you
