The procedure to cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription varies based on where you signed up. If your subscription was initiated through a mobile app store, you must process the cancellation directly through that app store.
To cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription, follow these steps if you purchased it directly from Intuit:
- Use a web browser on a computer and log in to QuickBooks Online as the primary or company admin.
- Go to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and Billing.
- Under the QuickBooks section, select Cancel.
- Complete the cancellation by following the on-screen instructions.

If you don't see the Subscriptions and billing option as an admin, your subscription might be through a mobile app store. Check the specific app store for cancellation steps. For more details, refer to this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.
Please know that if your subscription is suspended, we will maintain your company data for 365 days from the date of cancellation and provide read-only access throughout that period.
