I am finding our situation with our QB online subscription very frustrating.
Back in late 2014, my wife and two of her friends started a business. Each of the three ladies had a role, and one (Ruby) was to do the books. She decided to go with a QB Online account. It turned out that this service was way underpowered; and Ruby left the partnership within a few months. She had set up an ACH draw against the company bank account for this service.
I took over the book-keeping in late 2014 and I've been using QB Premier Retail. Every month, like clockwork, the company bank account gets dinged for another $14.95. I would like to get this canceled.
For whatever reason, my wife doesn't want to just block the ACH at our bank. I still have Ruby's login information, but I get an error that there is no QBO account associated with that email now. Because I also do the web services, I still have access to her email; and I can reset her passwords etc. This doesn't get me anywhere. Every piece of guidance on deleting the account depends on logging in to the account.
There also doesn't seem to be any clean way to contact Intuit about this problem. All of their support funnels drag you into some other black hole. But at about $15/month for several years, I figure I really need to kill this weed.
I have the company name, d/b/a, EIN, bank account and the original user ID, as well as bank records showing the ACH debits.
Can anyone direct me to some human being inside the Intuit battle ship that I can contact do get something done on this?
Hi @adangus , thank you for posting in quickbooks community.
You can cancel your QBO account on the Billing & Subscription page. Then, your data will be available in a read-only access for one year from the cancellation date.
Here's how:
Then, you'll receive an email confirmation that you canceled your online subscription plan.
For more details about canceling your subscription, you can check out this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/How-to-cancel-your-subscription/m-p/187739. Move your ACH account could be solution too.
Glad to assist you.
I'll also share the steps on how you can recover the account, and help you reach a support person, adangus.
When you get an error that no account is found, it's possible that your QuickBooks Online account is associated with a different user ID. To check the correct information, you can follow these steps:
Please see this sample screenshot for a visual guide:
If you've entered Ruby's email address, log in to her account and check the recovery email. You will see all the user ID's linked to the account. Then, go back to the sign-in page and try to log in.
I've got this article for reference: Reset your password or recover your user ID for QuickBooks Online.
Once you're signed in to the account, you can cancel the account by following the steps provided by gayatriluthfias20, Otherwise, reach out to our Customer Care Team using the test drive. Before doing so, please check our support hours here. Then, follow these steps:
