Card reader

I have set up to accept credit cards through QuickBooks app. But I have not seen where to order a reader. Is this something they send automatically when you sign up to receive payment? Or do I need to contact someone to get one?

Thank you for your interest in using QuickBooks Card Readers. I'd be happy to show you the different ways to order this. 

 

You can order your card reader from our website. Here's how:

  1. Go to this website: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/payments/readers/
  2. Choose your preferred type of card reader.
  3. Click the Add to Cart button.
  4. Click Check Out.
  5. Follow the on-screens instruction until your finish.

Or, you can place your order through our Merchant Service Center. Here's how:

  1. Visit the Merchant Service Center to Order GoPayment Card Reader.
  2. Open Account menu and select Mobile Payments
  3. Choose Order Card Reader.
  4. Select Place Your Order.

Didn’t work for me. It raised an error saying to call a 1.800 number, where I got an Intuit person who was not helpful and said it was a wrong number.  Tried another number she provided where the wait was an hour.  I gave up and decided to stick with a competitors product.

Didn’t work for me. See screenshot below.  Customer service at number couldn’t help.

Would love to have it work.  Tried ordering, another failure. Here's a screen capture of useless error message.  There were no errors listed below (seems to be a bullet with some words that should follow) nor were there any errors in the rest of the form (which I did not include in this message for privacy.)

Thanks for providing additional information, SimplyDan. 

 

Let's try using another browser and purchase the card reader from there. If you still receive the error after clicking the Review Order, we can try to change the credit card information. It could be the information you used to purchase isn't acceptable. If the same thing happens, you can call our Sales Department indicated at the upper-right corner of the article. They can further look into your account and will walk you through how to purchase your orders.

No thanks, I’m done.  Shouldn’t be this hard for you to take my money. Will stick with Square.
