Change browser on QuickBooks 2018

I have QuickBooks 2018 wholesale and manufacturing. Internet explorer (IE) is no longer supported and I cannot email invoices and purchase orders. When I try I get 2 pop up error messages.

Error 1. You need to update your software to access your Intuit account here. Learn more link. Clicking the link takes me to to MS edge to download which I have done. I have also made edge my default browser on my desktop. But QB doesn't appear to recognize it as a default.

Error 2. QuickBooks is unable to send your email as you are signed out of Intuit ID- Sign in to continue. I go you quick books.com, sign in and still nothing works.

I have this set up on 2 separate PC's for 2 separate businesses and both systems are not working. These are small mico businesses and not able to support monthly subscription fee's. I am not a nerd and all this completely confuses me.

QuickBooks already has a built-in browser that replaces Internet Explorer 11. However, this new custom internal browser is only supported in QuickBooks Desktop 2020, 2021, and 2022 versions.

Since you're using the QuickBooks Desktop 2018 version, you won't be able to change or utilize the new custom internal browser. In this case, I recommend upgrading your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest version. This way, you'll be able to send an email using the built-in browser.
