I switched from Quickbooks desktop to online, got a 50% discount on the 1 year subscription.
Now I want to change from the Plus plan to Essentials, where can I make this change while maintaining the discount?
Discounted rates do not apply when upgrading/downgrading a plan. You need to sign up for a new QBO Essential account at a discount and use the migration tool before you cancel your QBO Plus account.

When downgrading a plan, the discounted rates will not apply. You'll have to sign up for a new QuickBooks Online (QBO) Essential subscription with a discount and cancel the QBO Plus. Before doing so, I suggest saving all of your data by exporting them. This way, you can save, store, and transfer them digitally.
Here's how to cancel:
Once done, you'll get an email confirmation for the cancellation of your online subscription. Also, your data will be available in read-only access for one year from the date of cancellation.
