I got your back, @mkcho. I'll walk you through switching back your unit of measure (U/M) in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
You can assign only one unit of measure for each item with a single unit of measure. However, with multiple units of measure, you can purchase items in one unit and then sell them. This implies that you must buy and sell the item using the same U/M. To start switching it according to your preferences, please refer to the steps below:
- Go to the Lists menu, and select U/M Set Lists.
- Select the U/M item you want to make changes to.
- Under the Default Units, select which section you want to alter, it can be the Purchases, Sales, and Shipping section.
- Hit the dropdown arrow to choose from the available units you want to change it with.
- Then, click OK.
