What is your product version year? Supported versions 2021 through 2024 have all received updates for the new tax year, and additional updates will be going out shortly for 2023 through 2021 with small adjustments. You can go to the QuickBooks menu > Check for QuickBooks Updates to verify you are on the latest update for your version. The 1099 window will show 2023 as the tax year.
I have updated my QB's Mac software: "QuickBooks 19.1.16.1140 R17.3 is currently the newest version available." But when I try to create my 1099s, it says it's for "Tax Year 2022".
After printing the resulting 1099-MISCs, it seems that the figures are correct for the 2023 tax year, inspire of the screen saying "Tax Year 2022". So my problem is solved, but lots of other users are probably experiencing the same APPARENT problem.
