Buy nowWe need to use two different invoice templates however when do a new invoice and select a particular template - it changes ALL the previous invoices to that template. How do we ensure the invoice template we select does not change all the previous invoices?
Dealing with issues in your invoices can be challenging, END4WD. I'm here to share the possible cause of this issue and its fixes.
If you use two different templates when creating invoices in QuickBooks Online, it'll not apply to the previously added transactions.
In your case, may I know how did you switch the templates? Are you doing this on the Invoice page or the Custom form styles section? Adding additional details will help us further investigate its cause. A screenshot would be a great help, too.
In the meantime, I suggest accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. The browser utilizes cached data to load web pages quickly. However, excessive cache can lead to problems that impact the appearance and functionality of your account.
An incognito mode helps us verify the issue since this doesn't save any files. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once done, check if the correct template applies to all invoices. If so, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.

Hello, I have encounter the exact same problem here...And unfortunately the incognito mode does not help...

Aside from using a private browser (incognito), have you considered opening your QBO account through other supported browsers and clearing your cache? If you haven't already, I'd recommend doing so to distinguish if this QuickBooks behavior is browser-related.

If it works utilizing another portal, return to your default one and clear its cache. After that, log out and then log back into your account. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues.
