Class Action Lawsuit against Intuit - QuickBooks Desktop. I am currently collecting names and business to file a class action lawsuit. Email me.

Hi My name is Alex,

You can email me at [email address removed].

QuickBooks Desktop started forcing purchased licenses to move to monthly subscriptions.

Buying QBs license since 2008 every year for 16 years in a row, because of the Payroll, I was forced to switch to QuickBooks Desktop subscription mode.

I had a very bad experience with support in the last 5 weeks and the Filipino support team has only one job to do: "Turn the table and make it the Client's fault and their problem! Make them crazy to hang up and NEVER pass them to any supervisor or manager even if they asked 300 times"

I am done with QuickBooks and I want to switch to another platform.

 Here is the lawsuit about:

Even though I paid for the licenses for 12 years and bought them, and all my accounting history is there, they do NOT allow access to "my" old Data and accounting history anymore if I stop the subscription with them! (On the Desktop Version that is mine! Installed and paid for it on my computer)

I asked them many times: I needed to be able to see my accounting history. CRA and IRS are required us by law to keep history for 7 years, but Intuit going to remove any access to the accounting history and data!

They keep trying to force us to move from the Desktop to the Online version when they can NOT even import their own data from the Desktop to the Online version themselves! How do they expect to switch to online, when they can to transfer my payroll data and remove access to the history?!

If you suffering the same pain, join me in creating a Class Law Sue Action against Intuit & QuickBooks Desktop

As far as I know, a license is just permission to use something. You never own the product.

You can still purchase QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus/Premier Plus/Accountant Plus/Mac Plus/Enterprise.

If you do not renew your subscription license, you can use the trial version to access your historical data for good.

I would like to join as I consider that buying the old QuickBooks desktop software should guarantee the ownership of it and do not agree with being manipulated into updating*, which ultimately will force me to pay for an upgrade with only a temporary license. I do not have that level of business to buy an expensive license or a QB online subscription.

*You know how you have to login through your Intuit account periodically to be allowed into your QuickBooks desktop but you can't do it unless you update! Updating then stops older QB Desktop versions from functioning and forces them to buy an upgrade and now to get an expensive temporary license*. I do not believe forcing people out of a software, that they already had to buy again and again in different versions through the same scheme, is legal.

Can I get this person's email address from someone?

I was not able to edit my previous post, which did not sound very good when I read it again. I meant I would consider, and yes, I would not really want to pursue this, but I would want the company(ies) behind QuickBooks to consider the point of view of small users too. Why do they have to be so greedy, after years of loyal customer-ship.

I am a semi-retired bookkeeper, so I use for one client my own QuickBooks Desktop, and for others their own versions of it. But it is the same for everybody: a small business cannot afford this kind of cost for only one company file.

You can still use an old QB Desktop with a non subscription license for good.
