closing business need backup

I am closing down a business and would like a full back-up in case of an audit.  I worked with QB, upgraded to QB Advanced, per QB, and nobody can tell me how to access the back-up.  QB then suggested I do a local back-up to my google drive which takes all of 2 minutes and does not show up in my google drive.

 

How do I get a back up to protect myself from a possible audit.

I understand the importance of keeping a company file for future audit purposes. I'm here to help you resolve the error you encountered in QuickBooks Online.

 

To begin, I recommend disconnecting and reconnecting your Dropbox account. Then, see if there is any existing data in the folder. If there aren't any, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account through a private browser to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue because private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

 

To open a private browser, follow these steps:

 

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

 

Once done, Make a one-time backup manually to save everything. You can perform a manual backup at any time. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Select Back up company.
  3. Note: You might need to sign in with Intuit, then select Authorize to proceed.
  4. Select Add Company.
  5. Select the Search for a company ▼ dropdown menu, then select the company you want to back up.
  6. Select Next, then Connect.
  7. Note: If you have multiple companies to back up, repeat steps 2 to 4. 
  8. Find the company you want to back up.
  9. Select the Action ▼ dropdown menu, then select Run a full backup.

In addition, if you facing the same problem, I recommend contacting our support team to investigate the error further.
