Copy transactions from one QB company to another QB Company

Hello there, @RegionSolar.

You can filter the list of your transactions to a specific date and download it. Once competed, you can import it to the new QuickBooks company file. I can guide you on how to do it.

First, you'd want to make sure that your customer's new QuickBooks company file is completely set-up. Here's how to download your Customer/Vendor/Inventory/Payroll lists:

  1. Open the Customer/Vendor/Inventory/Payroll center.
  2. Select Excel drop-down ▼ and choose Export Customer/Vendor/Employee list if you want to export data such as name, balances, and contact information.
  3. In the Export window, pick whether to create a new worksheet or update an existing worksheet.
  4. Click the Export button. Then, edit the info in Excel as needed.

On the other hand, you can follow these steps to download your transactions list:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Customer and Receivables section
  3. Choose the Transaction List by Customer report.
  4. Set the report Date Range.
  5. Click the Excel drop-down from the toolbar.
  6. Select Create New Worksheet.
  7. Click the Export button.
  8. Follow the on-screen transactions to complete the process.

Now, you can import it to the new company file. let's import them to your new company file.

  1. Go to the File menu, and then select Utilities.
  2. Click Import, and then Excel Files.
  3. If you get the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries window, pick No.
  4. Follow the wizard in the importing file.

You can read through this article for more details about the steps above:Export and import data to QBDT.

Lastly, you can enter your transactions to the new company file by batch. You can refer to this article for the step-by-step instructions: Enter transactions by batch in QuickBooks Desktop.
