Could you please advise on the process for creating a backup of our data before making transition from QB to NS?

I know how to create backup data for your QuickBooks Online (QBO), @y-buhorska. Let me provide information about this and guide you through the process.

Saving a backup of your company is exclusive to QBO Advanced versions. You can follow the steps below on how to do a manual backup:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Back up company.
  2. Choose the company you want to back up.
  3. Tick the Action ▼ dropdown menu and select Run backup.

  4. Tick Run manual backup.
  5. Select a company to backup and tick Full.
  6. Click Back up, then OK to finish.

However, If you're using other versions, you can export your data from QBO. Otherwise, you'll want to look for alternative third-party apps that suit your business needs. While I can't recommend a specific app, you can directly check our QuickBooks App Store page for the free applications built by QuickBooks, where you can choose whatever works for you.

It's also easy to make some modifications to ensure the reports you run only show the data you need before exporting them. For detailed instructions, see this reference: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you need additional help with your data in QBO, don't hesitate to ask more questions in the Community. We're ready to assist and will respond promptly to support you.
