Creating invoices

Hello.  I know that there's a way in QB to create invoice templates.  My question today is can I bypass creating a template by opening a past invoice and use it to create a new invoice?  It would be nice if I could just open an older invoice, assign it a new invoice number, and then make a few edits to the amounts and send it off.  Is that possible in QB Online?  Thank you.

Creating invoices

You can create a duplicate invoice and modify it, @kellyr2.

If you want to create an invoice for a repeat customer, you can duplicate the invoice instead of adding all the information again.

Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, go to Bookkeeping, then click Transactions and choose All Sales.
  2. Locate the invoice to copy
  3. Select Copy from the dropdown under the Action column.
  4. Modify the invoice and click Save.

You can also do it from the Sales page and choose All Sales.

If you want to create the same invoice regularly, you can read this article to guide you in creating recurring transactions: Set up recurring transactions.
