Buy nowI have created a new estimate form (docx) that we would like to use to send estimates to our customers. However, when I attempt to pick my form type (Estimate) on the Import Form Style page (Gear Icon > Custom Form Sytles > New Style > Import Style) the Estimate button will not highlight and once I click away from the Invoice button it will not highlight either.
I can press the next button, continue to the next step and Browse and select my custom form, click next and "check My Template". I get the "Success! Press Next below to continue" notification and all of my mappings match correctly and are good. When I proceed to the next page I get the notice that "Your template was perfect!". Everything looks good and is in its place. When I click save, I get the "Name your style" window. I give my style a name, but when I click the Save button, the border around the style name turns gray and nothing happens.
If I create a new Invoice template and do not attempt to click on any buttons on the Import Form Style page, I can walk it through to completion and everything works fine. I can create new invoices and everything is in its place and calculating correctly. It is only when I try to click on Estimate on the Import Form Style page that things go awry.
I have tested using 3 different browsers on 3 different computers and two different networks (home and work, different ISPs, connected to and disconnected from VPN), in standard and private/incognito mode on all browsers, but I am unable to get this to work. I am at a loss and loathe to contact the QBO help desk, because I won't get any.
Has anybody out there experienced the same problem and did you find a solution?
Hello QCS_Rek,
Thank you for reaching out to us here in the forum. with regards to your concern, QuickBooks does not support creating custom estimates directly through an import form style. I highly recommend to reach out to our QuickBooks Online support.
Use the HELP function(?) located in the upper right corner and read the step-by-step instructions to contact QuickBooks Online Support in our help article https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us

Raymond, if QBO does not support custom estimates, then why is it even an option?
Please explain what additional help I can expect to receive by contacting Quickbooks Online support.
