Buy nowI keep getting error messages when I try to respond to MariaSoledadG . If she can see this, here is my reply to post: Re: What happened to the tabs across the CUSTOMER page since the last interface downgrade? Thank you so much for replying! I checked out what you indicated and that wasn't what I was looking for. I handle multiple payments daily at my business. When an amount came through on the banking page for me to categorize, I would simply go to the Customer page and click on the Deposits tab. There I could find the amount of the deposit, the date, who it was paid by, and perhaps a matching invoice or receipt number. This page is gone now. How do I find out who's payment cleared (for example) for $60 on the 11th, when I took in a couple of payments for $60 on the 10th, one on the 9th, etc. Which one is the match? I hope that makes sense. This is what I need to do. And I am not an accountant or even much of a bookkeeper, so please keep your replies super simple. Thank you!
Hello, portoffice. Thank you for your reply and for explaining your situation in detail.
I understand that QuickBooks updates may require adjustments to your workflow, and navigating new menus can take time. Let me join the discussion and provide some insights.
To address your concern, the Deposits tab you previously used is no longer part of the main QuickBooks Online (QBO) navigation due to recent updates.
However, you can still view deposit-related information through the Deposited section under Overview in the Sales & Get Paid menu.
This page displays all payments that have been deposited into your bank. You can use this information to easily match your downloaded transactions with your recorded transactions in QBO.
For more guidance on managing transactions and maintaining accurate records, check out this article: Match your bank and credit card transactions. It explains how to find matches, unmatch, review, or undo transactions quickly in QBO.
In addition, we have a team of experts who can offer personal guidance on linking your accounts, automating tasks, and teaching the best bookkeeping practices to increase your efficiency. Check out QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted for more details.
Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions about locating your deposits in QBO. We're always here to help!
