Hello. I am having the same issue...Error 3371. After deleting the ecml file and trying to launch QB, I get the same error message...QB does not open. Any suggestions?
Which QB Desktop year version do you have? Consider to reinstall your program.
I have QB Desktop 2017, and Win7
I appreciate you for joining the thread, @ArtB1. Now that I'm here, I'll help you get through this so you can successfully install and access QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) on your end.
Before we do so, know that I recognize the urgency of this matter. I recommend using the QuickBooks Tool Hub feature to get this sorted out. I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. Here's how:
In case you can't find the icon, you can do a search in Windows for QuickBooks Tool Hub and then click the program to access.
Also, feel free to visit this article for more information: Fix license, validation, and registration errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
Since you're using an old version of QuickBooks, know that we can't guarantee that the troubleshooting will go through and help fix the error.

I have already downloaded QB Tool Hub...ver 1.6.0.0. I selected Istallation Issues and clicked on 3371 Error Fix.
This just gives a progress bar that keeps scrolling indefinitely. Support says that this tool will no longer support QB 2019 and earlier versions. I wonder if there is an earlier QB Tool Hub available?
Hi there, @ArtB1. I'm here to provide additional steps to help you get rid of the error and sign in to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account seamlessly.
Currently, you can only download the latest version of QuickBooks Tool Hub. To further help you fix the error, you can uninstall and reinstall your QBDT 2017 account instead. Before doing this, ensure that you have a backup copy of the recent company data. This will be restored once the installation is finished.
Also, make sure to have a handy copy of your license number and product code to avoid unnecessary delays in the process. Once ready, follow the steps below:
When done, reinstall the program.
I've also got this helpful article for guidance in restoring your company file: Restore your file.
Please let me know how this goes. I'm always here ready to provide further assistance to help you sign in to your QBDT account. Have a good day ahead and take care.
You must reinstall your program and re-activate your license. Make sure you can access your CAMPS as Primary Contact. Otherwise, Support may decline your request to generate an activation code.
Good morning. I did reinstall Quick Books and all is well. Fortunately, I did have a very recent backup. Nothing was lost! Thank you for your support.
Thank you for coming back, ArtB1.

How did you install your QB program on your machine. Did you use the disc or the downloaded installer file?

QuickBooks Error 1335 implies that the cabinet file (data1.cab) required for ongoing installation is either corrupt or damaged. The cabinet file (2) is also not usable. It can be a Microsoft Windows error that occurs during the accounting software update or while repairing its installation.
To fix this error, consider these solutions:
Please know that QuickBooks Desktop 2013 is already unsupported. If the issue persists, you may consider contacting an IT professional to help you.
