Customized Quarterly Sales Receipt Template

How do I create a customized template that calculates the sales amount quarterly sales receipt? I was able to customize the template to show every sale transaction (1 page for 1 transaction) but I want it to automatically sum up the receipt quarterly (3 separate transaction from the same person). Is this possible?

Customized Quarterly Sales Receipt Template

Hey there, @W-Mo.

Allow me to share some information regarding sales receipts templates and assist you on how we can view data that sums up sales receipts by customer quarterly.

In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), creating a template that sums up sales receipts is only available for a specific date thus, pulling out the same data quarterly is currently unavailable. With this, I'd suggest sending a request for this feature to be available to our Product Engineers.

Here's how to send feedback:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Click Product Suggestion.
  3. Choose a feedback type and product area on the QuickBooks Feedback window.
  4. Enter your suggestion or feedback, name, and email address (optional).
  5. Select the Send Feedback Online.

As a workaround, you may consider running the Sales by Customer Detail report. You can customize it to show specific transactions, and customers and filter the From and To date fields.

Additionally, customizing reports might be a little time-consuming. So I'm adding this article that'll help you memorize reports so you won't have to repeat the customization over again: Create, access and modify reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Fill me in if you have more queries about accessing data in QBDT. I'd be glad to assist you further. Take care always and best regards.
