customizing an invoice

I'm new to QBO, having migrated from Desktop.  On my new invoices I see the Product/Service item that I created, but that same item shows on the invoice I send my client.

I don't care which template I'm using, the old or the new, I just want to send an invoice with my client without them seeing my Product/Service names.  I've circled the items in red. (see attachment)

thanks!

customizing an invoice

Hi there, @FajitaShorty.

I understand this is new to your end, so let me share some insights about customizing an invoice without showing the Product/Service names.

QuickBooks Online gives you the tools to create personalized and professional-looking invoices.

Here's how to customize your invoice without showing your Product/Service names.

Step 1: Create a new template.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Select New style.
  3. Select the type of form you'd like to create a template for.

Step 2: Customize the appearance.

Let's start with the layout and the design. You'll see a preview of the changes in the template as you make changes.

  1. Select Design.
  2. Give your template a name.
  3. Select Change up the template to choose a layout. These layouts are fixed. Note: If you plan to use Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) or create progress invoices, use the Airy new design.
  4. Select Make logo edits to adjust or hide your logo.

Step 3: Customize the info on your forms.

There are several options for customizing the details of your forms.

  1. Select Content.
  2. Select the table on the sample form to start editing that section.
  3. Select the checkmarks next to the fields you want to display on your form.
  4. Uncheck the Product/Service box.
  5. Whenever you're ready to save your changes, select Done.
  6. At the Drop-down arrow, select Make Default.

I followed your directions but the item sis still visible on the invoice. Perhaps I'm still using an old template, is there a way to check?
