Data missing

Hello there, CodyBeck.

I'm glad you reached out to us. I want to make sure you're able to bring those missing estimates and invoices in your QuickBooks Desktop.

It's possible that you open the wrong file in QuickBooks. To resolve this, let's restore the most recent backup of your company file.

For instructions on how to restore a backup of your company file: Restore a backup of your company file.

In case you need help from a live support, feel free to contact our QuickBooks Desktop Support. They'll be able to guide you through the whole process.

Here's how you can contact our phone support:

  1. You can reach them by following these steps:
  2. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contactus.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. Choose your QuickBooks for Windows version.
  5. Select the issue/topic.
  6. Click the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

Let me know how it goes as I'm still here to keep helping.

Data missing

"Clone" is often the issue. The QB Program needs to be Installed as it sets Registry Values. The Data File is not Just the One File; the associated utility files get Live Updated while you work, so Clone or Copy, from the QBW, is not good enough for recovery.

I recommend Rebuilding this file, perhaps 3 times. Then, Make a new backup. Then use the Restore Function, which is how you would have done this originally, to let the Program create the qbw and the associated utility files.

Make sure to install the Program "run as Admin."
