Buy nowI tried to help a friend to set up some reports in QuickBooks Online. He gave me full access as an Administrator to his QuickBooks online. After I finished with all the tasks and the reports, he removed me from the primary admin's access. When I log into my Intuit account under "Payment Methods", I see the company payment info Credit Card and Checking account. I tried to delete or remove them but unfortunately, it doesn't let me do it.
If I use "Data Privacy" to delete the company QuickBooks Online Plus, I just want to make sure this will not have any effect on their online operation with QB.
I appreciate your help
Welcome to our Community, vfv. We appreciate you reaching out to us regarding your experience with handling company payment info. We would be delighted to provide you with the necessary information to handle this matter.
Please note that selecting the Data Privacy option will result in permanent deletion of your Intuit Account and all associated data managed by the Intuit Account Manager. As your data contains private information, we will not be able to retrieve it once it's deleted. This action will also cancel all licenses and subscriptions related to your account. To remove yourself as a user of your friend's QuickBooks Online, kindly reach out to them and request permanent deletion of your account. While this action is irreversible, your friend can still view your history in the audit log.

Hi SirielJeaB,
I appreciate your response. I had my friend follow your instructions and he also made some screenshots and sent them to me. No user under my name. He said that's exactly what I did to delete you as a user. That is strange. I still have his company name and his subscription payment info in my Intuit account and unable to delete or remove them.
When I go into "Data Privacy", it gives me an option "Select companies that have personal data you want to delete. This may include employee paychecks. Deletion of your QB data for the selected company will delete that company's data for all QB offerings, as described in the QB Terms of Service and QB Desktop Terms"
Has a selection box in front of the company that I can checkmark.
My question is if I checkmark the box and I am not a user or probably have no link to the company data, would this affect their data?
Again I appreciate your help
I'm sad to hear that despite following our instructions, your friend still sees your company name and subscription payment info in their Intuit account and is unable to remove them, @vfv.
That may sound strange, and I can imagine how concerning it must be.
You don't have to worry; even if you tick the box, it will not affect their data. This is because you have been removed from their company file, and you're no longer connected to the account.
The reason you see the company's payment info, including Credit Card and Checking account, on your end is likely due to the history of the account you have accessed before, and it doesn't provide an option to delete it other than through the Data Privacy option.
