Default date setting

Is there a way to change the auto fill for the date from the last date used to it auto filling with today's date? It's so annoying that there hasn't been a way to do this in QBO like you could with the desktop.

Default date setting

I see the value in having today's date auto-fill by default, Bader.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has sticky settings that will remember the previously entered date from the last entry created.

I can see how this feature would benefit your business and the program. If you'd like this to be available in QBO, I encourage you to send feedback to our engineers. Your suggestions can help them consider adding this feature in future updates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion, then click Next.

Additionally, if you want to enable features like auto-reconciliation, pre-filling forms, and automatic invoice reminders, you visit this article for guidance: Set up advanced account settings in QuickBooks Online.

You can circle back to this thread if you have any more QuickBooks-related concerns.

Default date setting

Looking online people have been requesting this for some time and at least 4 years later no change.  QBO is an accounting program, meaning we need accurate records and having the date autofill with the last date entered can cause some critical errors that aren't caught.  Your template replies do nothing to help your end users.
